These vibrant murals are to celebrate the resilience of our communities in the face of the devastating 2020 Black Summer bushfires. Funding comes courtesy of the Eurobodalla Disaster Relief Fund established by Council in January to support the community in recovery. The murals will be an enduring community asset and celebrate our favourite places. River of Art has partnered with the Business and Tourism Chamber in Batemans Bay and the Business Chambers in Moruya and Narooma for the painting of the murals.

Cheryl Overton (Davison) is a leading artist from the South Coast. Her mother’s family are Walbanga people from Eurobodalla and the Ngarigo people in the Snowy Mountains region. Her family is also connected to the Wallaga Lake Aboriginal community. Davison has inherited deep cultural knowledge from her family and is a recognised artist and cultural leader for the South Coast region, exhibiting nationally and internationally.

PHIBS is one of the most respected and renowned names in the Australian street art scene. His public artworks are prolific in Melbourne & Sydney and featured internationally. His unique style has attracted numerous major brands, publications and several of his works were acquired by the National Gallery of Australia for its permanent collection.

Krimsone is a multidisciplinary artist, focusing mainly on aerosol painting. His style resinates around flora and fauna, imaginative style, constructive patterns and colour. He rarely uses a reference and likes to explore ideas from his imagination and turn them into physical marks and colours.

HAPPY DECAY (Bjarni Wark) is a Moruya based street artist showcasing happy vibes through his unique artwork making a shared space a more enjoyable experience for the people who have to use it.
