Join us on a self-guided tour heading from our hotel through the Northern part of Amager Faelled to the very center of the city. You will discover some of the city's most beloved spots among the locals, of course including some hot tips for the perfect coffee break and Danish pastries.

Approximately 9 kilometers long (one-way), you can either take a relaxed walk or follow the example of the locals and use one of our hotel's free rental bikes for our tour!

The Two Faces of Copenhagen: From Lush Nature to Buzzing City Life

The Royal Danish Library, also known as 'The Black Diamond' because of its shape, was built in 1999 by Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects. Its unique location on the harbour front makes it an ideal place to sit and enjoy the views with a cup of coffee. But there are plenty of other things to do here as well. Apart from an impressive library, guests can enjoy concerts and exhibitions, order a meal in the café, or use the reading rooms to get some work done. It's located only a 4-minute walk from the Danish Architecture Center, so consider visiting both if you have the time.

Fancy a dip in the sea or some sunset watching? Then this park and promenade by the harbor fit the bill! Grab a drink or a coffee in one of the nearby cafés and relax to the sound of the waves and the city's skyline. It's only possible to swim during the summer months, but even in winter, the area has its charm. Events and concerts are often held here.

Islands Brygge

Translating into "The nightingale path", you'll feel completely immersed in nature when walking through this lush, green area. Bike through at your own pace or bring binoculars to explore the diverse selection of birds living here.

Nattergalestien

This charming lake in the middle of the nature reserve offers the perfect setting for a picnic or a sunset. Bring a blanket or use the tables and benches on site, and enjoy the local wildlife.

Vagthussøen

What do you do when hunger strikes? You grab a spot in one of Copenhagen's best-rated cafés, of course! Wulff & Konstali is the place if you fancy real homemade food (their brunch has been named Copenhagen's best!), but their coffee is also worth driving for! The concept is simple; choose if you want 5 or 7 components in your breakfast or brunch, including a large selection of mouth-watering delicacies from their in-house bakery, and then wait for the treats to arrive. After this pit stop, you'll be ready to explore the rest of the city!
