The spectacular seaside palace of the Prince Regent (George IV) was transformed between 1815 and 1823 into one of the most dazzling and exotic buildings in the British Isles. You can explore the Pavilion's history through informative exhibits and audio tours. It also hosts various events, from art exhibitions to cultural programmes, making it a hub of cultural activity in Brighton. The structure mixes Regency grandeur with Indian architecture and Chinese inspired interiors. It will dazzle you with its minarets, domes, and intricate details, while the interior boasts opulent, lavishly decorated rooms, including the famous bedroom of Queen Victoria. Also, don’t forget to admire the exhibited painting ‘Colliers unloading on Hove Beach, looking towards Shoreham, Brighton’, by the English painter John Constable. The artist was inspired by the labourers and fishermen on Brighton & Hove’s beaches and the artwork is now on display in public for the first time.
