When you envision a picturesque medieval square, you might have Warsaw’s Old Town in mind. This district, dating to the Middle Ages, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and an absolute favourite among visitors to Warsaw. We recommend you begin your visit in the central market square and wander towards Warsaw Mermaid, a statue of the city’s mythical guardian. From there, just walk! This beautiful neighbourhood is full of colourful buildings and countless places of worship. The architecture is intricate, so there’s always something that will catch your eye.
