Manly is renowned for its world famous beach, harbour and cafes, but there’s a fresh way to explore this iconic beachside location — and it’s got style, soul and sustainability stitched into every stop.
The Manly Sustainable Trail invites locals and visitors alike to discover a curated walking route of the best secondhand, vintage, and environmentally conscious stores — all mapped out for a one-of-a-kind, unique shopping experience. Featuring a mix of op shops, preloved and vintage fashion, books, records and antiques — there are no shortage of preloved treasures to explore.
The initiative is spearheaded by Op for Change, an independent social enterprise based in Manly, known for donating 100% of profits to community causes and championing sustainable fashion.
“Manly is more than just beaches and brunch — it’s a hub for community, creativity and conscious living,” says Mel Burgess, founder of Op for Change and the 2025 Manly Local Woman of the Year. “This trail is our way of showing off the incredible secondhand scene here and giving visitors something meaningful (and affordable!) to explore.”
The trail map is available in both print (DL-sized map) and digital format via a dedicated section on the Op for Change website. The website version includes an interactive map and store descriptions, to plan your visit.
Visitors can pick up the free printed maps at Hello Manly at the Wharf, or at participating stores on the Trail.
