Vøringsfossen

The waterfall has a drop of 110 metres, and is a very popular tourist attraction. Myths even say that the water is a fountain of youth! Tvindefossen waterfall is situated right next to the main road E16, and you can view it from Tvinde Camping or the souvenir kiosk. It is also very popular to cycle to Tvindefossen from Voss via Nesheim.

**How to get there:** By car from Voss: 10 min. Follow E16 going north towards Oslo for 12 km. By bus from Voss: 15 min. Take the bus from Voss Station towards Gudvangen/Sogndal. Exit at the bus stop “Tvinno”.

Tvindefossen

During the ice ages the glacier carved much deeper in Eidsfjord than in Hesjedalen. This is the reason why the otherwise so flat Hesjedalselva River now cascades out into the 80 metre high Hesjedals waterfall where it meets Eidsfjord. **Practical info:**The Hesjedalsfossen waterfall is a 25 minute detour from the main road between Bergen-Voss, the E16. Hesjedalsfossen flows down towards the road no. 569. Park the car at the picnic spot just by the bridge and walk to see the waterfalls from the road.

Hesjedalsfossen

On the Norwegian Scenic Route of Hardanger, you will find the spectacular Skjervsfossen waterfall. It is located on the road between Voss and Granvin, and has twin falls plunging out from a height of 150 metres. The area around the waterfalls has paths, stairs, viewpoints, rest areas, picnic areas and a toilet out of the ordinary! If you want a “shower”, you can walk all the way down to the foot of the waterfall. Pretty powerful stuff!

**How to get there:** By car from Voss: 15 min. Follow Rv13 towards Granvin. Turn left before the tunnel and follow the signs to Skjervsfossen. By bus from Voss: 20 min. Take the bus towards Granvin/Ulvik from Voss Station and exit at the bus stop “Svelgane”. You have to walk for approx. 2 km from the bus stop.
